Linda Missing in Bournemouth – Dorset Police Appeal for Help to Find 77-Year-Old Woman
Police in Bournemouth, Dorset, are appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 77-year-old Linda, who has been reported missing. Dorset Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact them immediately.
According to police, Linda was last seen at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, in the Lansdowne Road area of Bournemouth. Since her disappearance, officers have launched searches and are carrying out extensive inquiries to locate her and ensure she is found safe.
To assist the search, Dorset Police have released a description of Linda. She is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a slim to medium build, shoulder-length grey hair, and wears glasses.
When she was last seen, Linda was wearing a black blouse and purple velvet trousers. Police are urging anyone who may have seen a woman matching this description, or who has information about her movements after she was last seen, to come forward without delay.
Inspector Mark Latter of Dorset Police said officers are particularly concerned because Linda is vulnerable and can become confused.
“We understand Linda is confused easily and we are concerned for her welfare.”
He added that officers have been carrying out searches and making detailed inquiries as they work to establish her whereabouts.
