Subsequent investigation determined that Samantha was dropped off in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on July 24, and police have received information indicating she was seen in the Lancaster area as recently as two days ago.
Police have expressed heightened concern for Samantha’s welfare due to her vulnerable circumstances. According to investigators, she is autistic and has mental health challenges. She also left home without her prescription glasses, increasing concerns about her ability to safely navigate her surroundings.
Samantha Miscik is described as 17 years old, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black shirt and black pants. Although she normally wears glasses, police say she was not wearing them when she left.
The Pennsylvania State Police are asking residents in the Greensburg, Donegal, Acme, Lancaster, and surrounding areas to remain vigilant and report any information that may assist the investigation. Officers are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen Samantha, observed the green Subaru Outback, or has information about her current whereabouts.
Investigations involving endangered missing juveniles require prompt action and strong community cooperation. Police emphasize that even seemingly minor details, such as surveillance footage, witness observations, or recent interactions with Samantha, could provide valuable leads and assist investigators in locating her safely.
Authorities continue to follow up on all available information as they work to reunite Samantha with her family. Members of the public are reminded not to dismiss information they believe may be insignificant, as every tip could contribute to the ongoing search.
